One of the very first steps to creating a film, is developing the story. We will develop your screenwriting skills so that you will be able to create a character-driven drama, comedy or horror film. Students will learn how to take their movie ideas from concept to reality and graduate from the school with their own independent short film.
Casting & Directing
We will show you the casting process, from auditioning to directing a scene. Our instructors will guide you through the process of auditioning for a typical casting for a short film.
Pre-Production
After casting, you will learn how to conduct a table read as well as finding your shoot locations. You will create a storyboard, shot list, and learn to crew with your classmates.
Sound & Lighting
Have you ever watched something on TV and said to yourself, “I can’t see what’s happening” or “I can’t hear it, turn it up?” Lighting and sound are critical components to any film production. We will show you best practices and techniques used today.
